Replacement Window
Now you can take advantage of the latest development in window design without sacrificing traditional looks and styling. There is a new window for your home. The Caribbean Line of insulating replacement windows were designed with the homeowner in mind. We have spent years combining the best features of window design to produce a well-crafted window that takes advantage of modern technology.
This window has been designed with a thermal break to help reduce heat loss or heat buildup through convection. Each window is thoroughly weather-stripped to help control water and air infiltration. These combined features help to provide you with a window that has a higher condensation resistance than most other prime windows.
A standard aluminum frame window will allow heat to travel freely from the warm inner side of the frame to the cold exterior side. This heat loss path can be short-circuited by separating the aluminum in a section of the frame and replacing it with a non-conductive material. A thermal break separation of only 1/4" can substantially improve window performance. It is important that all frame parts which extend metal from inside to outside be broken and that the breaks are placed correctly to avoid thermal bridges or short circuits for heat loss. This type of frame requires additional manufacturing steps and typically costs more than standard aluminum windows.
Unlike normal windows, thermally broken windows reduce the transfer of unwanted heat in summer and heat loss in winter, keeping you cooler in summer and warmer in winter. This can have a very positive impact on both your heating and cooling costs and the environment.
Thermally broken windows also offer a high degree of acoustic insulation. Noise infiltration is minimised through the use of the highest standard of sealing possible. |
